1. You can't trust the forecast. Better to be safe and take the car/bum a ride.
2. 1-2 inches? No problem. I'll bike there and back no matter what happens.
3. I'll ride in and take the bus back. I hate riding in snow.
4. None of the above. I'm on my way to Florida.

I decided to try #3 or #2... depending on how accurate the forecast might be. One inch is nothing. Two inches is twice nothing.

As it turned out, we got more like 5 inches and apparently the city has run out of snow plow money or something.

I waited 30 minutes for the bus. Decided I was dying of hypothermia. Start walking to a better bus stop (1.5 miles away). Found a quiet rode where I could follow some wide tire tracks. Caught up with the bus after an hour.

I have two bikes. My regular bike and my snow bike. If I think it's going to snow, I take my snow bike.

I would not be deterred by 1-2 inches, but they do a good job plowing here.

4 inches forecast here today.

I rode, and plan to ride home, but it's only six miles.
