Best inexpensive place to shop online?
Hi. 51 year old road biker that wants to relive his '80's youth. I have a vintage Mongoose frame and fork I want to build up old school. I am not going to race beat on the bike. Just love the look and want to relive the memories of my paper route days. What's the best source for reasonablely priced vintage style stuff? Thanks.

Best bet is to just find a comparable bike on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist and swap over the parts. Most from that era are pretty universal with 20'' wheels, minimal parts, one-piece cranks, etc. Good luck!

look up Porkchop BMX.
otherwise, Facebook groups are your best bet. I see a lot of stuff on the local Craigslist page. none of it is "cheap" if you want rare old school stuff.

I like bikes
PlanetBMX & DansComp are also place to shop and or buy. PlanetBMX has a sketchy, only sometimes secure site, but I have bought parts from them in the last month (when the site shows secure), although for a more old school 26" cruiser.
A lot of stuff out of stock in 2020.

Sometimes you will have to hit up the BMX museum. https://bmxmuseum.com/ The problem is this year has seen a lot of bike shops completely cleaned out! Oddly some of the better stocked placed for retro parts are in Australia.

Adding another vote for Porkchop BMX. Good inventory and solid customer service. I've ordered lots of stuff from them over the years and never been disappointed.
BMXGuru.com is another place i've bought things from.

Gorgeous Mongoose! I haven't ridden a BMX in years, but I think that should change. Do you ride it often ilikebikes?
