New to me

I was doing some housekeeping on my tube stash for the bikes I work on for people without housing and ran across this schrader stem. What is the purpose of this type?

Looks like a valve core and a cap with a core tool on its end.

That's an older type of schrader valve core which I have been told works better as there is more distributed spring tension?

And the tire cap is also a tool to remove the core. Quite difficult to use to remove a core, better being used to install one.

Thanks! I hadn't had enough coffee when I posted this question earlier. I am familiar with the stem removing cap, but I have never seen the Schrader core with this long of a spring.

try putting the cap/tool onto a valve stem extender.. use a drop of red locktite on it.... then get more strength and callouses on your fingers.. I've worn the chrome off three of these simple tools over the decades.

a "pull in" rubber valve stem will work too.
