Interesting... lack of rear bars and angle of rear half suggests stoker will be required to provide continuous heimlich maneuvers to the captain in order to remain a member of the party. Clearly I need to up my psychedelics intake.

Tale of two ad listings - Flipper Strategy?

$80 cheaper on Craigslist? Expecting OfferUp will always end up with a lower offer so setting price high? Long time flipper on Craigslist now on OfferUp with added tax!

My experiences with OfferUp recently have made me want to tax the sellers, somehow the wackos are even wacker than ye olde Craigslist folks.

Different locations, different ad copy in two completely different styles (why would one, but only one, be all upper case?), the only things in common are PARTS of the titles, and the one useful (and that says maybe) photo. Makes me wonder if one or both ads are for a bike that the seller/s don't/doesn't actually have.......

I had not noticed the location variation - The craigslist location is correct ( the other is not too far) - I looked at a Peugeot he had. I do believe he has the bikes, they are all shot on the same wall. He is a flipper who offers reasonable prices, but does nothing to the bikes before selling.

Surfing Craigslist requires learning new languages. Pedals can also be spelt, "Peddles", "Petals" and "Piddles"

Right you are.

When searching on eBay, one strategy is to deliberately mispell the key word. For example, I once found nice "Shwinn" parts with 0 bids because of (I presume) the seller's spelling error.

$25 for a set of wheels, seat post, handlebars, stem and fork is a pretty good deal. That poor frame tho, gotta wonder what the plan was there to remove 90% of the frame and put all the weight on a single weld on the top tube. Local dentist trying to drum up business?
