In need of wheels & tires
I recently purchased a new bike - mid 80's Peugeot (501 frame)
I'm new to actually owning my own road bike so I'm unfamiliar with what parts to get when upgrading...
Could someone point me in the right direction as far as what I can and can't get for wheels/tires? I was told I may need spacers?
A little overwhelmed but enthusiastic about my new hobby/activity.
Thanks!

Yeah, mid-80s will probably be 126mm frame. Most fixed wheels are 120mm, but if you get 'em @ velomine you can request wheels with hubs respaced for 126 bikes.
I'd probably go for 700c wheels. If your frame was made for 27" you may need long reach brakes to run 700c.
Got pics/specs of bike?

I think I see Schraeder valves, which leads me to believe 27" wheels are in play here.

LLooks like brakes will reach 700c (just need to go 4mm lower).
If wheels are OK you can still get 27" tires tho.
