1960 Chicago made Schwinn Traveler
Hey everyone,
My wife asked me to sell her bike, its a 1960 Schwinn Traveler. I dont know what size...its missing the metal wire that changes gear. According to the serial number it was made in Chicago. I cant post pictures being a newbie.
It has no rust and otherwise in good shape. Any ideas what its worth?
Thank you!
Josh

Difficult to say without pictures. You can post 10 times ( anywhere on the site) , and then you can post pics.
There is another way , but I do not know how to do it..

I saw in the last Bianchi thread that new members can create an album and link that to their post.
I’m in the same boat, but I’ll work towards my 10 posts to post pictures.

Look in table of contents for gallery.

Meanwhile, when new, your maximum daily limit for posts is 5. It'll take just two days to get to 10 then you can add photos directly. Since I can't see your bike I'm just guessing that when you said "wire" that you meant shifter cable? If so they are really cheap $2-3 at bike stores.
Oops. IIRC 60 was 2 or 3 speed (single speed would have had no shifter). If so, might need a hand changing cable on 3 speed if you haven't done that before. Do you live where there's a bike co-op or perhaps know anyone who can help you?
