Fork mount cable hanger for Cannondale CAADX
I'm new to canti brakes, as I've just recently traded in my road bike for it's CX equivalent. As countless others before me, I'm experiencing a very bad fork/brake shimmy when applying the front brake. It's not bad on perfectly smooth pavement, but on any kind of rough surface, it gets scary-bad real quick.
I understand that this is a common problem that is fixed by replacing the hanger that's mounted to the steer tube above the headset with one that mounts to my fork. Figured I'd order online but want to make sure I get one with a long enough screw.
I'm sure just about every larger framed CAADX owner out there must have swapped out for one of these, so I am looking for a recommendation of one that fits nicely. I was looking at this one, since it's only 10 bucks. Any other recommendations appreciated.
For now, I'm looking for the cheapest, quickest fix. Eventually I'll probably consider running mini v's when I have a better wheelset that doesn't go out of true easily. When that time comes I'd need a BMX-style brake, correct?

my "hole" (sounds weird from a dude) is too small for the recessed bolt, so I had to get a longer bolt and put a nut on the other side. Wiped out the shutter.

Well, I learned a couple things yesterday. First, the CAADX fork does have a hole, but is too small to fit a recessed nut. I picked up the Forte fork mount hanger which is designed for a recessed hole, and went to the hardware store for a longer allen bolt and a locking nut.
Got home and realized that I while I remembered to get a new length of brake cable, I forgot to get longer housing. Dammit. Oh, riiiiight - this will of course require me to unwrap my bars. Dammit, I don't feel like doing that right now. May as well replace the stock bartape with the Fizik wrap that I prefer while I'm at it. Back to the bike shop.
Second thing I learn - try the easy fix before buying crap. Since I didn't feel like unwrapping my bars and dealing with a cable routing project last night, I simply toed in my brake pads and fixed the problem for free in less than 3 minutes. Sukka. Eventually I'll install the fork mount hanger, but this has me satisfied for the time being.

You can also just add more housing and use a barrel adjuster between the existing housing and the new housing.

Yes! Thank you. Maybe I was subconciously looking for an excuse for new bartape?
Now that I think of it, I shouldn't need the new length of brake cable, as I shouldn't have to make any cuts. It's a few extra spacers that I really need to make up for the stack height that the existing stop provides...
