What did yo do to the stays? File them pretty and janked-up some new paint?

. no they were way beyond filing. I really did it half assed, a buddy cut out sections and replaced them.. I painted and distressed it. if I live long enough I'll prob have it redone, although it looks good enough for now

picked this up yesterday off of local Facebook. the seller had 3 or 4 poor pictures in sections not showing the complete frame and Def not showing the rear stays. his ad said something like bianchi frame with some vintage bits. frame is straight with no damage that I can see. I was jazzed driving over to get it. I almost cried when I saw the stays. I still drug it home after renegotiate, the serial number starts with 160, 1960 maybe. does anyone know who could replace these stays....thanks for letting me vent

yeah it is .. not sure what the deal is perhaps now that Andy is considerably older he's turned more of the frame work over to his mechanic, or, maybe it's just catching up w/ andy. he's still got a great mechanic though.

Same! @konakai , thanks for saving this bike! Could have easily ended up in worse hands. I am impressed by the faux patina on the rear triangle. I have seen much worse attempts at aged finishes. It nicely blends with the rest of the bike which is exactly what you want in this scenario.
