Interesting thing is that he pulled in front of someone’s garage door.
Of course, the Philly popo never showed.

Elevation profile of the day. Didn't quite get to the top as there's still a bit of a snowfield up near there.

We have a lot of narrow, intermediate cross streets in my ‘hood.Contractor trucks often have problems.
I recognized the guy’s voice. His company has been doing work near me for at least a week. I’ve heard him when I’ve been on my deck. He has a very raspy voice. Unmistakable, and he curses a lot. I gave GEICO the name on the side of the truck and they called him pretty quickly. I don’t think he had a spare because he was trying to get a wrecker to come out. My window to ride this morning is now! For 1-1.5 hrs, with the baby monitor next to me on the trainer. Hopefully she stays asleep!
Should get a decently longer one in tomorrow, 3-4 hr. If I'm feeling better. Still have a slightly sore throat.

Still working on a site - I have the domain, but haven't done anything with it (sales were via forums). Just started up an Insta account (@grayislestudio) - since I'm doing one-offs, I might try to cultivate that with knife nerds and just post new ones as they're ready. Here's a recent one with interesting figuring, in Norway Maple -

Yep, def. a head cold going on that I most likely picked up from Liz. Darnit. Was really hoping to get some TSS in tomorrow, we'll see about that. Maybe I'll stick indoors and just do 3-4 hours of z2 on the trainer. That's still solid TSS and it avoids any undue spikes in power, HR or effort. Then I can take it easy next week.

Lots of people drive away. I saw it happen a couple of years ago with another contractor. Feigned leaving a note but ended up not. I got his info and left a note on the damaged vehicle. The owner called me that evening and was able to identify the guy the next day. Texted me photos of the truck and the guy. He worked for a local outfit and was working outside a house near where the vehicle owner lived.
