Rotator Cuff Surgery
I am 17 days out of rotator cuff surgery. I start rehab this week. I read previous posts and riders look like they are back in about 3 months. I miss my coastal ride!

It took me five months. The surgeon didn't get me started in physical therapy early enough, and after two months it became clear that scar tissue had formed and my range of motion would be limited without a second surgery to break up the scar tissue. After the second surgery it took three months of aggressive PT to get my strength and range of motion back to normal.
In my case, my right rotator cuff was completely severed and was reattached with four titanium micro anchors. I think the delay in getting started on PT was because the surgeon wanted to make sure the attachment was going to hold.

I know what it feels like to miss riding, but the important part is to maintain the goal of continuing riding. Best of luck to you and I hope you have a speedy recovery!

I'm 5 years out from my surgery, but I was 6 months in recovery. 'Gave up one whole ski season. I advise you to do the same with riding.
