Or he was the master shutter builder for Nago, maybe he even started to work on his house, but they had a dispute, so he left, took the knowledge and the work with him founding his own company.

You mean the famous story of Carpente, the master woodworker who went solo and started to build shutters with paper-thin dado joints?

They are legendary, aren't they? I've heard people ask how the master Carpente's shutters shut, though I believe the shuttering is vastly overrated. His shutters shut no different than any other high-end shutter of the era.
