Basically NOS 1988 Miyata1000

Amazes me when i find bikes in this condition.original seat was rotten.dork disc looks like it never saw the light of day in 34 years.one size to small for me.

Very cool. I found a 1993 Bridgestone MB 1 that was practically NOS.

Super cool! I would have figured that thing would have been loaded with XT- but there you go!

Good luck in finding an M1000 in your size- and hope that you can get a trade/sale that works out!

Yes, components don't seem to match the 85 catalogue.

Looks like more than 100 miles by the brake wear on the rims, but it was all in excellent weather. Or maybe they road it recently and the fossilized brake pads scratched the rims.

Still in amazing shape by any standard.

... Pretty sure grabons are those foam handlebar covers.

Yes, the old Grab On foam grips were denser and lasted longer than the cheap ones you see today. It looks like the company still exists but the focus is on motorcycles.

My 1000 from 1986 in similarly unused condition also sports foam grips.

(Gotta change that one of these days...)
