Super Record Superior (56k warning, as always)

Second-generation Record shifters (from first-gen clamp and a pair of braze-on second-gen levers + hardware):

First-gen, two-bolt Super Record shortie seatpost:

Can you believe it? This ugly piece of drillium is finally on the way out. I won an unmolested second-gen RD on eBay.

Holy crap Kurt... x1000000

That orange is just stunning and it matches all the shades of brown so perfectly. Really awesome! You make me want to go out and hunt down an orange bike

That's beautiful. BTW, I did pop in on Coral Way and they had an awesome ride at a decent price, but at 57cm, a bit too big for me. I'm a 55 / 56

I'd say I paid a reasonably sensible, typical going price for it - I didn't get a bargain, and I did not overpay either. This is the list of the ones that I missed out on:

$46.67
$24.50 (forgot to place a snipe bid )
$42.22
$78.00 (with a suspiciously slack pulley cage)
$71.00 (with an incorrect Nuovo/SR first-gen pulley cage)
$49.00

Well Kurt you,ve finally done it,you,ve made me "Drool" over another mans bike,I would swap any bike in my stable for this Orange one of yours, for two reasons, firstly -luv orange bikes the most -secondly- we dont get any classic Schwinns here in "OZ" , just one comment tho, the person who drilled out the RD should be shot ! well done on the progressive build mate ,its a real beauty ---Ned !

I've got a wanted ad in the Want To Buy forum, in the ISO/WTB thread, and at CR. Wish me luck.

It looks to my eye like you have an ugly drillium first generation super record on there now. If you throw it away, let me know.

That is what I thought too, when I first saw it. Mind you, it also had a Nuovo pulley cage on it, which was enough to make my heart skip a beat.

It fooled me for a second, until I realized the parallelogram angle stop was shorter (first-gens sit as would an NR - closer to vertical), and that the plate read "Nuovo Record." Turns out to be a Pat. 82 that someone replaced the plate on.

If I can find the outside arm of a second-generation SR, I might try replacing it someday.

Absolutely beautiful. Seeing that color sent me back in time to the early 60's. A friend had an Italian bike with a similar color that I thought was stunning. His bike always stood out in the pack. You've given me a great color for a repaint.

I missed the Spectrum. The Bottechia has Campy, but could not get a good look, it was behind some boxes.

Should be on the east wall, in the lower rack. That's where it was about a year ago, anyway, and it never did move (not at $6,900, anyway).

What was his price on the Bottechia? $250-350?

$450.

Do you think I should move on the Pinarello?

I just don't know. Maybe I should hold out for what I really want.

How much is the Pinarello? If those 105 Golden Arrow shifter are any indication, it hasn't been cared for. For that matter, with those components, I'd guess that its Columbus Cromor or Tretubi.
