Older Ellsworth - dropper post cable experience?

Hi, anyone have experience changing an older (2013) Ellsworth Evolve dropper post from external to internal cabling? Seems like the path should not be blocked by some internal structural stuff....or is it? I'd have to cut hydraulic lines to find out myself. Ellsworth is not quite in business (as far as I can tell) so I haven't been able to get an answer from them.

Thanks for any insight!

Is there a port in the seat tube to run the cable/hose through, or do you plan to drill one?

Regarding blockage: you can’t tell when you pull the seatpost out and look in there?
