The only thing I have to add is that one day I want you to ride the Campy Super Huffy and tell me how much better it is than my Paramount

And welcome!

i need some ti Campy stuff. Seeing that derailleur, that's hot. Too many thoughts come to mind, thoughts very few people here might appreciate haha

Hahaha! I had fun thinking of how great it would be to join that group and then make the thread. Banned faster than Herse coming out with another $1000 old bike part.

I still might. Just to see how close I get

Or maybe he'll explain to you why you should have built it with DA 7400 stuff instead.

If you are ever on the east coast, consider stopping by Boston! I machine things too.

Oh, it is.

I was honestly afraid that we'd never hear from Jim again after that Huffy thread got mentioned.

But he's still on board, whew.

It’s great to have you on board! My question for the day - when did you re-design the Allez and the Sirrus? I’ve long wondered whether to thank you or your predecessor Tim Neenan for the superb handling of my red ‘88 Sirrus.

Okay! May I ask for pics of the stem you made for the Graftek? Ideally if you have them, in-precess shots, or at at least disassembled to show how it works.

Thanks

Graftek Stem

This is all I have for photos. I would not do the tapered thread cone again. It's not that practical, it take a lot of torque to tighten.

Nice! Highlights, for those who couldn't tell from the pics:
  • no bolt head at all on the top of the quill, just blank there.
  • And steel, but less than half the weight of a Cinelli steel stem. Lighter than almost any aluminum stem too.
Workmanship is unparalleled. Maybe the nicest stem ever made.
