Schnauzers are cool looking dogs. Do their ears come floppy and are cropped like a Doberman?

Our Lab is prone to ear infections with the lack of ventilation.

Tx and fully agree, they are fantastic dogs, great security, funny, loyal as can be, entertaining and insert themselves into most all facets of family life, they refuse to be ignored.

Yep, cropped as almost all are, big debate, hard and a lot of work to do but it is part of their character and a feature I could not do without.

Over 400 years of history and this ones Great, great, great, great? Grandfather is the only Standard Schnauzer to win Westminster.

Alma is the very last of several litters we bred and will not have more from her as she was spayed to address issues along the way.

I would encourage you to seek out a good breeder to consult, Vets have their limitations and are often constricted by the same sort of controls Drs. are nowdays.

Country or farm Vet maybe.

Thanks. Our lab is 8. I have no idea how old the Dobie is.

When these 2 have passed we will wait awhile to make decisions on another dog. We love these dogs, but both were neglected before we got them and although they have a vastly better life, it’s not ideal as we have kids to raise. So the dogs don’t get as much training as they should.

As long as they get along with the kids mostly its all good, any family that includes dogs is likely better for it.

They are undoubtedly better for it and so many need our help, we will strongly consider it when the time comes.

We always sold our pups with a contract clause that they had to be returned to us if they became unmanageable, no refund, no excuses, period.

3 came back to us and were rehomed through groups that specialize in it, none of it was their fault and they all found good homes.

Very good on you for taking care of them.

Recent Roxi pictures. We were on vacation for three weeks last month without her. First time being away from this dog for more than a day, since we've been together. I think she wasn't too happy with me for a few days after our return. All is good now though.

The rescue said he was half-Havanese (the national dog of Cuba), so we named him Fidel. The DNA results came back: zero Havanese.
His crew call him Fiddy, but the ladies call him Fidelicious.

This is Frankie, our French bulldog. We adopted him about two months ago. He is funny and cute.
I should say, that I always had bigger breeds (the last our dog was Cane Corso, who unfortunately passed away about two years ago). But Frenkie turned out to be a good breed for all of us, including our kids (I worried the most about this, but this review helped me figure everything out).

I think it would be awesome to hunt with a dog.
Closest I’ve been was getting two gophers after our Dobie let me know where they were by making their hole ten times worse.

Bird hunting with my spaniel is when the hierarchy is broken and we become partners. She gets decision-making authority and I'm the listener. The first times I let go and became the follower, the feeling was almost like vertigo.
