I've never owned a Raleigh and have not really examined any, so I can neither confirm nor deny. The rest of my Bob Jackson was very well done - good lug work and a lively red-with-white-panels, extremely durable paint job. And once I had the Phil Wood BB chemically welded into place, no more problems.

On a lark I reached out to Georgena Terry (who much to surprise replied in a hour or two) and she said it was likely a '99 Trixie in Rose. I kinda like that Trixie the Mixtie" , is loaded with lots of 105 and Deore LX goodies and 700c wheels, so I'm wondering if it is too nice for project? I'll get my nice mixtie frame but still need an N+1 for my IGH wheels.
A little more online snooping turned this up, another one in the same general area of Western Chickago,

Yeah, that's an odd one. It has twin laterals, but they only go down to the seat tube. I'm not sure exactly what to call that style.

Around the Cycle is a great local shop! They do most of my repairs. They have awesome mechanics and the guys who value/trade in the bikes know what to look for. They are very transparent. They've sold a few bikes for me and did a great job. I've also had them build up bikes from the frame up, and again, they did a fantastic job. I'd have no problems purchasing anything from them. They even pack the bikes really well...

She was big enough for it but it was the usual poor compromise. The island end of the commute had a 50-100' hill from the ferry dock to the road and her effort on it was far from elegant. Well, one day she showed up on a 700c'd Terry. And that hill? Night and day!

I'm about 30 minutes southeast of Around the Cycle. I don't have experience with this bike shop as far as service only purchasing.
They are a consignment bike shop and pretty much have "no haggle" pricing like car dealerships these days.
If it were a different seller id been happy to facilitate.

I bought a great pair of Shipmano Alfine 8spd on Salsa Delgado rims with a dynamo front hub. Unfortunately the bike they are always feels a bit small

Reach out to the Cub Shop in South Pasadena, a local bike shop that sponsors a number of events. They have experience with vintage and could likely put you in touch with a frame builder or repair person that could assess that frame.

I would really appreciate if someone has a chance to look at this during the weekend. If the frame is just dirty and I can clean up the paint with some dishsoap and scrub brush or maybe a little citrus cleaner that's fine. If it's full of little rust pimples and looks like the paint is in really bad shape I'll probably have to pass.

Now it's $200 and I'm not paying that.The catalog page Georgena Terry sent me just say 4130 ChroMo but I suspect it is likely Tange tubing

Bob Jackson’s were known for pretty decent paint. This one does not present that.
‘I think this is the case where it can be saved but a money sink hole.
one would have a Mixtie at the end and a thin wallet.
