Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Gonna revive a 13-and-a-half-year-old thread, as the title of a new one would be exactly the same.

I just picked this up for my girlfriend, a 2004 Bianchi ML3 Alloy in gold, and I find it absolutely stunning. It's a rich, deep gold, with a green-ish or brown-ish tint, and not so yellow.. (I think the newer VW Beetles have this same color.) I don't see many of these, or the SL3, for sale, but I am looking - for my size, a 57cm version, but not too expensive of course. I love fat-tubed aluminum.

If anyone has experience of this model, I'd love to hear about it. This one has 28C tyres on it already, and I'm getting some narrower carbon bars (she has 36cm bars on her LIV and likes them). I'll definitely get feedback from her, but different sources of info are always welcome!
