Classic Rendezvous Wisconsin, save the date
Announcing CR Wisconsin!
Vintage bike show, swap and ride September 14-15 2024.
I hosted Centenario Coppi at this location in 2019, see links to pictures below. Ample outdoor and indoor (in case of rain) space. Bathroom, kitchen with fridge, grill. I’ll bring the brats. If you plan on attending, please PM me and I will coordinate the pot luck. We really don’t need 40 pounds of potato salad. 😊 I’ll bring stakes for displaying in the grass, but in case of rain, you’ll need to bring a stand for indoors display. “Prizes” will be awarded.
Feel free to ride from the legion hall on Saturday, I will remain there and provide security for the bikes. And again, I cannot say enough about Bike the Barns on Sunday. Well worth your time and money.

Vintage bike show, swap and ride September 14-15 2024.
- Admission is free. But the food and drink are pot luck, you are required to bring something.
- Festivities begin 9:00am, Saturday September 14, 2024. They end when we are good and ready.
- We will be at the Hollandale Legion Hall in Hollandale Wisconsin, the heart of Wisconsin’s driftless area. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ed8aFxvzrMzMYXev8
- There is more than enough room to display as many bikes and as much stuff to sell as you want.
- There are many roads to ride, see potential routes below.
- On Sunday September 15, please join us in riding Bike the Barns. This is the best supported ride there is, the food is exceptional. Unfortunately, it is not free, but a great cause. https://www.csacoalition.org/bike-the-barns

This will be a great weekend.
Have been to the two Centenarios Dave hosted in 2014 and 2019.
He does things the right way- very classy!

The Coppi event shows the commitment, looks like every bike had a brief paragraph about it.
‘unsure of the right fist in the air by one rider, maybe mad at a cow?
As outside of Milwaukee, at least easier access than Auburn for flying to the venue, yeah, not that close but smart to be out of town.

Certainly not my intention to compete. I fully expect CR Wisconsin to be 95% local folks. A small affair, hanging out, ********ting, looking at bikes, eating, drinking, riding, in no particular order.
But the location, facilities, and the organized Bike the Barns are really second to none.

When I rode the Lake Pepin 3-speed Tour last spring, several of the riders I was hanging out with were extolling the many cycling virtues of the Driftless region (though likely not on 3-speeds).

Eye-took it as celebration that Larry had beat those young'uns up the hill :-)
The riding around Hollandale is great fun and the folks that attended Dave's last shindig were so friendly making this left coaster feel like one of the tribe.
Please attend if you can, you'll be glad you did.

That does sound really cool. Bummer that it conflicts with Cino though.

Great idea to host a vintage event proximate to a good ride.
