Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Awkward situation

Was in my first race today and a few miles in crossed a wheel and broke a couple spokes. SAG wagon pulled up and I was told to grab a wheel. I said i dont have one and they said thats ok take one. So I did only to find out who the owner was later. They werent mad, but I felt like a ******. Is it common to have the SAG tell you to grab a wheel?

It depends, if it's wheels in wheels out then you are supposed to have a wheel in the truck but you won't necessarily get your own wheel if you need one. If it's neutral, then everyone gets a wheel if they need one. Sometimes wheels in wheels out will go to neutral if they have enough wheels, or if they are full and don't want to take any more wheels.

Are you being serious or sarcastic. Given our exchange in the average speed thread, I can't tell with you.
