WTB: Brake Pad Holders
These Universal 68 brakes are lovely and polished up so well; hope to have them installed soon. That said, I see the pads/holders are (presumably?) not OEM; the holders have rounded ends and I presume I'll never find replacement pads, and the pads are marked "Fibrax". To install new -- preferably Kool-Stop -- pads, I figure I am looking at a different set of holders. So, if someone has a set available, or knows where I might source new ones, I am interested. Of course, Universal would be nice, but who looks at pad holders for originality anyway? Perhaps Campagnolo, Weinmann, Mafac, what the heck does Shimano use (campy?) as long as it's a type for which Kool-Stop offers pads? With or without guides, and I'd really prefer closed on three sides, open on one, for ease of installation.

You might have a look at the Modolo holders, I think Kool Stop makes an insert.

Thanks, although looking online they too are rounded and look noticeably different (all? or some?). In addition, Dia-Compe might be viable as well.

Something like this, with or without guides? (Image stolen from the internet) Except I'd really prefer not the closed-on-four-sides arrangement.

With opportunities here apparently not happening, I am looking at eBay; interestingly, it might be cost-effective to buy a pair of calipers just for the pad holders.

Fwiw, I have found that these old Weinmann shoes work well for new Kool Stop inserts:

EDIT: transaction completed, so I have my solution. Thanks, everyone!
Cool! And I think I even have a spare set of Weinmann-type Kool-Stop pads ready. PM me!
