Campagnolo Super Record Derailleur Set

Hi, I've got a set of Campy SR derailleurs for sale from 1979. They're in decent condition, there are a few scrapes on the knuckles and pivot bolts, and the little trumpets for the high-low screws are cracked. Mechanically, though, everything seems to be very good. As a plus, the rear derailleur even comes with red Bullseye pulleys, which should make you 10% faster than those in the club ride on factory pulleys. I'm asking $150 for the set, plus shipping. Message me for more details or photos.

oh boy

The DEATH front D!!!

Lip in the front to keep us safe from it entering out fleshy calves, but that extra hole to catch chain pins.

These are actually collectable because they were quickly recalled after less than 5 months on the market.

I think these are cool and mimic the drillium Eddy would do on his own.

Good deal. Am I correct that the RD has aluminum bolts? I think the one year with those was '79.

Yeah. That’s a really nice set. Bullseye pulleys are pretty far ahead of the OE crackables.

I couldn't be too sure; it passes the magnet test, so the least I can say is that it isn't ferrous.

Did they go to titanium after that?

They were titanium before and after. There was a shortage in '79:

Interesting. No wonder titanium was exotic then.

In this case, it's the aluminum bolts that are exotic, since it was just done that one year. And they are even lighter than TI, so between that and the 4-hole FD, this is a great pair for weight weenies.

With reference to disraeligears.co.uk the aluminium top pivot bolt is solid. Every vintage Super Record titanium top pivot bolt I’ve seen is hollow. These to me look like titanium, but I’ve been wrong before.

yes, Almost all show up 79 date coded. But I have seen a few 80. The Plus, aluminum is lighter than titanium, the bummer, cheaper and easier to machine, no price benefit.
‘Material shortage.
