Bikes: A Blue One and 2 Green One's, then there's the Yellow one. And oh, yeah, a Black One. Did I mention the Red One?

I bought one of these new. As I remember, it was in the $400 range. I've always thought it was a pretty good bike.
Down at the co-op we get a lot of these in and once turned around, they are still quite popular and go in the $250 range.

I built a great 'nasty weather' bike with a CrissCross frameset. One thing I learned is that the top tube is super long. 24" on this large frame, making it unsuitable for a normal quill stem and drop bars. The dirt-drop style stem makes it rideable. Not the lightest build, but it will roll over damn near anything with the Schwalbe Marathon tires.

Yeah, they had mountain-bike length top tubes.

The confusion over the shifting is a little unwarranted; just like Shimano's STI shifters, the bigger button/lever shifts to a bigger ring or cog, the little button/lever shifts to a smaller ring or cog.

^^^^ Or simply, big lever = pull, small lever = push (release). Which is why the big lever is bigger.

I've had a couple of these, they're definitely reliable workhorses that feel solid and well-made. One of them was my wife's grocery-getter for years.
