Anyone looking for a 23" mixte? Here's a cheap Raleigh, not a high-zoot frame but only $20 in NJ.

Tall (22") mixte '85 Le Tour as part of a his 'n' hers bundle in GA. Might separate. Pricing unclear at $200 (each? both?).

I built this as a loaner and it's a gas. Pretty darn adjustable for fit.

Fuji S12-S Mixte

Wow, this thread is a real treasury of beautiful bikes!

My new mixte is still a work in progress. I found the frame in a barn owned by one of our local bike builders and it had the original handlebars, forks, seat/post, brakes, reflectors and chain. The dealer was able to add a Sugino 2x crankset, a 5-speed freewheel, wheels and tires and redid the bar tape and put on a new saddle. I have, since these photos were taken, swapped out the crankset for a Sugino 3x, replaced the bottom bracket, and installed a Suntour 6-speed freewheel, returning the bike to its original 18-speed glory. I've been treating the small amounts of rust, touching up the paint and giving it a good shine. I love how elegant the whole thing is - and shout-out to my wife for suggesting the brown (faux) leather bar tape and seat.

In the future I hope to find the original Fuji-branded crankset, but beyond that I'm incredibly satisfied.

someone in my neighborhood left this lovely old Gitane out for grabs along the side of the street. It was in good shape. I've swapped the steel wheels for a pair with alu rims, and put thumb shifters on the bars. I suppose I should take a photo as it is now . . . But it works quite well. It's too small for me but I don't know just yet what I will do with it. Probably take it to Bike Works so they can put it to a good use.
