Colored Cable Housings for Campagnolo

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Colored Cable Housings for Campagnolo

I want to dress my ride up a bit with colored cable housings. Either yellow, grey, or silver. My Indy Fab Crown Jewel has a Campy Centaur group.

Where can I finds colored cable housings for Campy Centaur?

I guess I thought Campy only has black, white or red. Aftermarket, such as Jagwire would have more color options.

White would better than black. Where can I order white Campy 10sp housings and new cables?

Just use Jagwire, get whichever color you want.

jagwire sell cable sets (either separate shift and brake set or combined) in various colors (red, yellow, blue etc). I’ve been using yellow sets for years on my Chorus 10 setup. You have to look around, as the general availability of colored sets is less than that of standard black ones.

Thanks Litespud. But I can only find Shimano/SRAM compatible cable sets from Jagwire. Campy ends are thinner you can't use those cables with Campy. Where can I find the Jagwire Campy versions?

I thought when you bought Campy gear you were legally obligated to only do things the Campy way and use Campy Approved™ accessories?

Jagwire makes Campy cables, just buy the housing and cables separately. Or buy Campy cables. Why is this such a challenge?

Well that doesn't help me much in finding what I need, but it is funny

I really like how the Campy shifters and derailleurs work. I've used Shimano extensively on other bikes, and my current 2nd bike has SRAM. I really prefer how Campy works it shifts more precisely, and is sure a lot easier than the SRAM. My "new" used bike came with the Campy group, so unless I wanna spend $$$$ on 105 or Ultegra or SRAM I'm gonna have to stick with the Campy for now.

Yeah I am finding Campy harder to deal with in terms of replacement and upgrade parts though, like these cables and their housings, and if I could have found the bike I wanted with Shimano or SRAM I would have gone that way, but it was an Indy Fab at a great price!

I could not find Jagwire Campy cable. I saw a lot of Jagwire titled "fits Campagnolo" but when reading detailed descriptions it said Shimano/ SRAM and pics of the packaging said Shimano/ SRAM. Like Jagwire Sport always in title says Shimano/ SRAM and Campagnolo but the pics of the packaging only says Shimano/SRAM.

Anyway, I called Yellow Jersey in Wisconsin, the old reliable source for all things Campy. They have new 10 speed Campy cables, and they have Torelli housings in assorted colors that are made for Campy.

Campag ends are literally a hairsbreadth thinner. It takes ~30 sec gentle filing to make the Shimano/Jagwire ends Campag-compatible - that's what I've been doing for years - works fine. File a little then check the fit by pushing the cable end up into the shifter receptacle. No need to thread the cable to check cable end fit.
