Choose adapter 160mm -> 180mm disc
I'm planning to replace the 160mm front disc on my 2009 BMC Team Elite 02 MTB by a 180mm rotor, but I'm quite puzzled by the number of possible adapters.
The calipers are part of a combined brake/shifter Shimano M 765 and a rough measurement of the space between the bolts is 70mm
The fork is a Manitou Black Comp 125mm
Unfortunately, I can't add a picture on this forum yet.
Could anyone let me know the model of adapter I need, for example on AE pages such as 4000389793602 or 1005003707892599 or 1005004369743094 ?
Thanks

here.. search this on Ebay...oh, and the "bolt" distance for post mounts is 74mm... it's the industry standard.

I've been through this, went from 160 to 180 to 203mm on IS brake mounts. I recommend Shimano adapters - I bought some no-name adapters on ebay and the front was too tight without washers to add distance between calipers and adapter. I bought the correct Shimano adapter and everything fit correctly.
I'm pretty sure this is the one you want (assuming IS mount frame interface):

Note the "F" for "front" in the part id - the rear 180mm adapter is different.

Manitou Blacks have post mounts not IS mounts, you need the SM-MA-F180P/P2 adapter.

Why would there only be one half of that pivot system shown on that drawing? and i've also never seen that spacer on a bike... ever. Will wonders never cease... Still baffled by the use of 1/2 of a pivot mount... weird and useless. Some engineer is probably very proud of that drawing... half a pivot mount... hmmmm....... liking the spacer.... and the half pivot could be to allow for the bias on the spacer...I'm sure the engineer would have an as useless reason for that totally useless addition....
The reason spherical washers are used....
