1) What is the longest ride you've ever been on?
85 Miles, I hate long rides
2) What is your longest distance in a training (something repeated weekly or monthly) ride?
32 Miles is my everyday ride, about 60 on weekends
3) What do you consider your "this is starting to hurt" mileage?
Depends on the pace, sometimes never, and sometimes at mile 5 haha
4) Do you have a distance goal? If so then what?
Monthly, 800+ miles

1) What is the longest ride you've ever been on? --- Longest event: four 1200K randonnees with a time limit of 90 hours including all breaks; Most km ridden in one 24-hour day: 462.4 km https://www.machka.net/24hour/2006_UMCA24hour.htm
2) What is your longest distance in a training (something repeated weekly or monthly) ride? --- when I was doing the above riding, 100 km rides were weekly occurances, and 100 mile rides happened at least once a month, often more; over the last year my distance has diminished quite a bit, but I'm hoping to build it back up again as summer approaches.
3) What do you consider your "this is starting to hurt" mileage? --- back in the 1200K/24-hour event days, anything over 400K. I struggled with the 600K distance in particular; now ... anything over 100K - frustrating.
4) Do you have a distance goal? If so then what? --- Yes! Getting back up to doing 1200Ks again!!

Does anyone read this and not think "nutter"?
I'm impressed by such madness.

1) 105 miles
2) 70 miles - during the work week 20-30 miles are average. Weekend miles are usually between 40-70 depending on terrain and time allowed
3) getting out the door
4) I'm happy averaging about 300-400 miles per month. No real 1 shot distance goal. I just like being in the saddle and away from the stresses of the "real world"

1) 120ish miles, I've done 200 in two days a few times.
2) 80 or so at least every couple of weeks. 50 every Sat. and/or Sunday.
3) Depends..on hard interval days it's about 1/2 mile...on easy recovery days I love cruising around and 50-60 feels good. Too easy can be annoying also, though. I have done a very easy century (with my coughwifecough), and that got boring and my butt started to hurt at about the 5th hour.
4) No real distance goals; I'd like to get faster, upgrade, win some races..the usual over the hill dreams.

Longest ride: Half dozen double centuries.
Training miles: averaged 200 a week.
Starting to hurt: Seldom happens.
Distance goal: 200 miles in 12 hours. Finally achieved that when I was in my early 60s.
Am now 77 and ride an average of 100+ miles a week. Am slower, don't ride as fast/far.

1) What is the longest ride you've ever been on? 104 miles
2) What is your longest distance in a training (something repeated weekly or monthly) ride? 50-60 miles
3) What do you consider your "this is starting to hurt" mileage? 80+ miles
4) Do you have a distance goal? If so then what? No distance goal as centuries are enough for me. If I repeat a century ride then I try to have a better average speed and total time than before.

1. 257 km road race - uphill, both ways... cross Japan and back.
2. Depends on time of year, but right now it's ~155-157 km every Sat
3. 190 km
4. Not anymore. Distance is a useless measure of training. Time and intensity are the only valuable metrics.

That's a really good goal. I may have to steal that one from you. I did 54 miles this Saturday and the first loop was with my team. We did 23.8 miles with an avg/mph of 22.5. 50 at that pace would be rough but is completely feasible.

1. 200 miles
2. as i was building up to my first double, I did some double metrics and a 140 mile ride the month before.
3. haven't found a distance that hurts yet, but 12 hours in the saddle and I definitely start wondering how much longer.....
4. No distance goals - now I'm thinking of doing more difficult double centuries.

1) What is the longest ride you've ever been on? - 100 miles
2) What is your longest distance in a training (something repeated weekly or monthly) ride? 40 miles to 50 miles (like to get 150 to 200 miles in a week)
3) What do you consider your "this is starting to hurt" mileage? 90 miles, but getting a different saddle and better shorts would cure this.
4) Do you have a distance goal? If so then what? In the fall or spring I think it would be cool to go out at around 600 in the morning and come back at 600 in the evening. Think that may be 200 - 250 miles...

2) What is your longest distance in a training (something repeated weekly or monthly) ride? 60+
3) What do you consider your "this is starting to hurt" mileage? Distance (60-100+ miles) at a slow/moderate pace almost NEVER hurts. Fast riding or up something like Mt. Washington creates a lactic acid burn for me.
4) Do you have a distance goal? If so then what? 200 miles - but with two small kids, it's hard to find the time!

That's a pretty good pace with a group, but try averaging 20-22 mph solo.

3) What do you consider your "this is starting to hurt" mileage?
Haven't tested my hurt limit yet, I know I can go over 35 but I just cant find a path/route that can get me somewhere in the 40+ miles without going into car traffic, which I do NOT want to deal with, I prefer bike paths and sidwalks. And I hate loops. I like long straight paths.

1) What is the longest ride you've ever been on? 100 Miles and a decimal value
2) What is your longest distance in a training (something repeated weekly or monthly) ride? Weekly minimum of 180. No maximum.
3) What do you consider your "this is starting to hurt" mileage? Depends what I do. If I climb the 17%-23% hills that go on for about a mile (with a few short 6%-8% "breaks") then I think I'd be in pain pretty fast.
4) Do you have a distance goal? If so then what? No, but I do have a time goal.

I agree with the Pace and Elevation being the biggest factors, but just for kicks....
1) 130 Miles
2) 80 miles
3) 100 Miles
4) 300 Miles ( Training for some Rando next year)

2) What is your longest distance in a training (something repeated weekly or monthly) ride?
40-45 miles
3) What do you consider your "this is starting to hurt" mileage?
variable, but usually around the 80-ish mile range
4) Do you have a distance goal? If so then what?
Not anymore. Used to when I first started riding, but I've tried racing a little this year. I'm more interested in putting in the effort on a ride these days than I am concerned about getting mileage.
