2 hours of z2 on the rollers (parents told me i couldn't go out into the subfreezing weather. it might hve been a smart decisions). Had 20 minutes of tempo thrown in mid way through the ride. I didn't start coughing during the ride so that's a good sign.

Concur with this technique wholeheartedly. Survived DC winter chill with plastic grocery bags

2 hours, couldn't get my HR up on the flats (fatigue?), but legs were saying tempo-ish. Dug deeper on the climbs. I didn't feel great, but Strava says I went pretty fast. Stole a KOM from my poor, crashed, recovering teammate. Feels a bit cruel!

my highest tss ever was 260. I don't know how you guys do these 300+ tss rides? I dont think i've ever been in a situation where i've needed to ride that hard for that long.

Last team ride was today, went with shop team after a few months of riding with collegiate team - my legs weren't very awake at the beginning of the ride, but they came around.
It was a hard ride.
TSS Tracker:
Weds: 263
Thurs: 161
Fri: 192
Sat: 256
Studying done, time to take some exams :-)
It's stage racing time in OR next Friday.

3h at .85 gets you 230. Seems to me if you're racing 3+ hours you should easily get past 260. Even my long winter rides at .7 or so get me in the mid-to-high 200s.

I think you guys are right. As I look at the data, it is time to bump up the FTP. Dang, I thought that was a big jump. Apparently it was.

5-6 hour rides with 60+ minutes worth of intervals will put me into 300tss territory. I'm usually trashed for a good day or two after.

I may be burnt on BF. I had a similar post but deleted it because I didn't have the energy for the seemingly inevitable pissing match.

Longest workout/ride of the deployment.
Run: 1 mile warm up, 1/4 mile "on" at 5:00 pace, 1/4 mile "off" at 8:00 pace for 4 miles, 1 mile cool down. Bike: 5min warm up, 30min effort, 5min cooldown. Effort at "320w", but who knows how accurate that is. Last time I used a power meter was 2009. I've done well on Strava, and stack up well against guys I know are "pro" MTBers on 10-20min efforts, but that's not a good measure of performance. I could be a better bike handler than them, with a crappier engine, or vice versa.
In other news: I have a new Santa Cruz Blur LTc frame, DT Swiss EXM 150 fork, and various other parts waiting at home for me. Plus my lovely 29er HT. Will be racing XC and the East Coast Enduro series in 2014, if work/school allows.

For me to hit 465 thinking about racing would need to be worth a couple a hundred points.

3 hours spinning away on the rollers. Felt nice, and limited coughing even with a descent 30 minute low cadence z3 section at the end.
