Tommasini Super Prestige

Price Drop for the bike as stated below to $1,000.
Price Drop for the frame and fork only to $675
which includes the headseat.
Tommasini Super Prestige So to make room for the frames and bikes i want to re-commission i am selling this.
EXTRA PICTURES DOWN IN THE COMMENTS AS REQUESTED.

I got this locally its 58cm i can measure to confirm and send pictures to interested parties, when i got it it was sporting a chrome Italian fork of good quality but it did not have an Air fork.. when researching on line i found an old advertisement someone had posted whereby the frame and fork were offered for sale separately, the ad showed the fork alone being $400. so it made sense to me when the previous owner said that's how it came, (however he was not the original owner).

so i wonder to myself if i can find an Air Fork.. i searched ebay and wouldn't you know it there was one for sale 1 inch threadless, but it was very expensive as much as some frames, seller wouldn't take an offer, i waited till the auction expired then re-appeared so I went back and bought it for the buy it now, anyway so what i have is a Super Prestige in the red splatter paint with a one inch thread less Air Fork,, at some point in its life it received a fairly extensive Chorus campy set up except for the rear mech which is Campy mirage, so it has brifters, very good chorus brakes, the hubs are what look like c-record or newer, well anyway it rides fantastic and is what i consider fast light and nimble, so during the upgrade to Air fork i did not go with threadless campy headset due to budget but it all works very well. it has a Velo Orange stem.

I have a few different seat and pedal options which may affect the asking price, but these are also rider specific items so could add or subtract value so consider a mid grade saddle as part of the
package, pedals shown can be sold with the bike but are not included in the price stated ..here are some pictures.
Asking $750 for frame and fork, including the headset
Asking $1250 for the whole set up but not including the pedals shown which would be extra.

Thanks Gary

this was as i got the bike, i have changed the pedals seat and front fork to threadless

top tube with the old stem

mirage works great

straight off the auction

the paint is what i consider very good a couple of chips that i have touched up

the Air fork went on no problem i elected not to cut the fork but add shims for adjust-ability of height.

Hi Gary, can you post a top tube measurement? The stem looks quill, so I assume that's the old fork. Can you post a pic with the treadless set up? Thanks!

As requested here is some close up pictures of the threadless stem, i left all the meat on the stem and put spacers rather then have it cut down, i felt like that would give me some height adjustment if i needed it also.

i liked this thread less stem as it enables changes without a complete strip down.

close up so i could order the spacers.

i was able to get a bell mount spacer from VO also and so used this for an alert system.

fork is in great shape no rust that i could find, i suspect NOS.

If still available could you provide some more info for me?

-What Columbus tubing is it?
-Any idea what frame + fork weighs?
-Could you tell me the dropout spacing? (i.e. 126 or 130)

-What Columbus tubing is it? Answer check out this brochure at the address below, in one part of the brochure its says Columbus SL, in another it says the marble finish frames have Columbus SLX
https://bulgier.net/pics/bike/catalogs/tommasini/
I am not in a position to make any claim for tubing wither way, however it is a high quality Italian frame and it is a Super Prestige, i would be inclicned to think it was at least SL or better.

-Any idea what frame + fork weighs?
i have never weighed it, sorry but i am reluctant to strip it to weigh the frame and fork alone, i would guess its about the lightest bike i own.

-Could you tell me the dropout spacing? (i.e. 126 or 130)
I will measure the dropout this evening.

PM me with any further questions...

Gary
