As has been mentioned before on this topic, an easy way to match is to join a cycling team (that has both men and women) and for both of you to wear your team's kit (team uniform including at least shorts and jersey).

A kit is a great thing even without tandeming, as both jersey and shorts are graphically coordinated, so too is the vest, jacket, etc. So, no trying to match up colors. All you have to do is put on enough of the kit for whatever temperature it is, and you are good. They generally look better too than a jersey with black shorts.

A team will make an order, usually in the fall, for the next year's kit. There will be sizes for both men and women. You can get an idea of how this works at the Voler site. If you aren't keen on joining a team, you can use the Hammer kit, which is fairly inexpensive and very complete in its offerings. You can also get a kit from a pro team, such as from Probikekit, however since you aren't really a member of Astana, that might look funny. That is why the Hammer kit is popular, as it doesn't represent membership in any particular team.

Of course, the kit is but one benefit of joining a team, but the rest would be OT.

The United States Cycling Federation has lists and links to clubs, to make it easy to find a club in your local area.

Looking for a good resource to buy matching apparel .. just getting ramped up with tandem gear. Don't have a strong desire to do the 100% match thing but have interest. Thoughts or suggestions?

I sometimes order their Jersey of the month and they have gender specific sizing.

Another way to do this is to use a line with both men's and women's, and obtain their equivalent clothes. Assos men's and women's are matching, but not identical. Assos isn't particularly cheap, but there may be similar look-alikes in less expensive lines.

They seem to have a good range at a reasonable price, but they won't ship overseas.

Matching jerseys very rarely. Matching socks a little less rarely.

Just bought our first jerseys:
https://shop.redhook.com/StoreFront/S...egoryID=100299

Raglan sleeves, made by Castelli, fit us both nicely. Light, stretchy fabric. I think we'll be fairly visible.

My wife and I have been single bike riders for a LONG time and have a lot of Jerseys... some even match.

When we have done tandem rallies... we make sure not to match... just because.

I like to be different.. and love the comments....blah blah blah...

we have ridden cross country and the many other thousands of miles with out matching ....then to have someone who rides one or two times a week critique our clothes... I just smile

We try to match all the time, Including helmets, shoes, gloves, and socks.
Getting hard with two little ones in a trialer, but we do have a few sets of four matching jerseys and that looks really cool.

+1 What can you say?

Having said that, we do have several matching jerseys from events that we have ridden together so we do match jerseys most of the time, but certainly not all.

We match most every time. Now we do have the exceptions where the "Theme" though still matches. As an example with our cereal jerseys. She wear Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes - Bright Orange) and I wear Fruit Loops (more of a Red jersey). With so few tandems up this way in NH we standout not just as tandem riders but also with the matching jerseys. Now we have started a biking club at my work so this year we should all match on our rides. Now that will be most interesting.

MY son has a spongebob jersey (he rides a tandem with my husband) and gets so many comments. So off to ebay we went. Our first orgamized ride Is April 25 - we will all 3 be decked out in our SpongeBob jerseys. Gotta admit, husband just goes with the flow - this is definitely more my and my son's doing....

Matchy matchy - it's a team thing
(and we hope we don't upset anyone who has actually earned the right to wear their national kit)

We occasionally wore matching colorful t-shirts for captain, stoker, and our daughter in the burley. We enjoyed it.
