Made in the USA Bicycle Items?

While I dont mean any offense to the international community, I am wondering what items for the cycling community are still made in the USA. Over the last year I have watched countless friends loose their jobs. I would rather my money ended up in the states than china. So if you know of any cycle related items still manufactured in the USA. Please list them here.

I hope you have deep pockets, because most US made cycling stuff isn't cheap.

Some higher-end Trek Bikes (no, I don't know ex.which ones..your job)

.. www.workmanscycle.com if you're totin' or have a hog dog wagon, cuisers too.

Custom built or high-end semi customs like Waterford, Gunner, dozens of other indepedant shops.

Google it !!!

To limit your search for a bike in reality or hypothetically, limiting your list to domestic made bikes, you'll end up with a short list. Components even less so.
Sram.. some or most ,not sure.

SRAM while based in the US, makes their parts in Taiwan.

I got a Haro BMX stem that says 'made in USA" on it. I bought it when I put BMX handlebars on my mountain bike. It did cost $51 dollars though.

More stuff at Rivendell

https://www.rivbike.com/

Clothing, racks and bags, other random gear made right here in the US. I have a pair of "MUSA" shorts and they look like they will work just fine.

As previously mentioned, $++ . Pretty good correlation between cost and price.

I think that Wald's hardgoods are made in U.S. Can't speak for their softgoods (which I believe are sourced from Inertia Designs), however.

Several companies started/based here outsourced as they expanded. Timbuk2 comes to mind. Their custom ($$$) models are made in the San Francisco area, while the 'One Size Fits Most' are imported.

Do some research on messenger bags and you'll find quite a few made domestically.

Acorn Bags is another one. Watch Wald, their old standard baskets are made in the US most of their mesh goods are not. I bought a Wald 933, the bracket is made in the US the basket is sourced from China.

Sram is a US based company, but sources their product from all over the world. Some of their hubs are made in Germany. I have less of a problem buying things from another "first" world country than the stuff that comes out of China. Unfortunately in this day and age you will be butt naked and walking if you try to buy USA produced items only. IMHO that is one of the things that is going to slow down our economic recovery. The last one was fueled by people purchasing necessities for their homes, but we don't make that stuff anymore so the bulk of the money is going to other countries and not fueling recovery at home.

Aero Tech Designs bike shorts and jerseys. I have a pair of their shorts, much superior to anything I have seen on the market, made in PA, and cheaper than a lot of Taiwanese shorts, too.

https://www.aerotechdesigns.com/

Definitely good products, they make shorts and jerseys for some bigger names...

I'd consider my next bike being a Litespeed.. Sure the frames are made in the USA.. Made in the USA can be misleading or even a lie.. Litespeed is not listed on websites telling of products, "Made in the USA." Maybe the truth or an oversight .?
I once thought my Surly 's frame was made in the USA by a Chicago firm.. Instead, it should have a made in Taiwan stamp on it.

That list is missing a lot of custom Ti shops: Moots, Erickson, Lynskey, Dean, etc....

Wow, that took a lot to sort through. Some good stuff out there, thanks. the off road trike looks righteous, until you see the price tag. Good to see there is someone still manufacturing here in the states. Although, we Americans seem to be good at combining a good healthy fun sport with, hot dog vending and a mobile bar?
