I'd rather buy a new bike then to get a drunken mistake on my arm.
Bike tattoos sound like a bad thing.
Let's see:
You like to ride your bike now
you get a tattoo to go along with your new bike.
In two weeks you get it stolen, no problem your insurance company pays you for a replacement.
Ok, riding again
guess what drunk driver hits you, it's kinda your fault also, and you know it
your back is smashed, your legs are crippled and your neck is now permanently stiff because both collar bones popped out
you look down to the permanent tattoo on your arm of your favorite sport/transportation
even if you try to get it removed, you still have a ugly mark where it once was in the shape of a bicycle.
this doesn't sound good to me.

i met the guy with "nobr akes" on his knuckles a few months before bikesnob made him famous, he had been riding fixed gear for 2 months at that point. Today i saw a guy with a real cartoony looking track bike on his upper arm, raw bars and all. I've never seen a good bike tattoo, i'm not saying that they don't exist or that my tattoos are particularly great just that i've never seen one i thought looked good, that being said i would never bash anyone for anything they had tattooed on them, it's permanent so what good would making fun do? also it's personal, so while i love mine i'm sure someone else thinks they're goofy crap

I have yet to finish my Childhood tribute sleeve (Movies and TV shows from the late 80's early 90's) but I definitely want to get some tattoo's on my calves... Though I am not quite sure if they will have a bike theme to them or not.

Will be getting a new tattoo soon, and it'll be somewhat related to this thread. I'll be sure to come back and post a picture.
