Hi, I'm John
I commute from Uptown to Downtown by bike. Pretty wild!
I've been cycling since I was 12 and cycle all over the world.
I did a Cyclocross Race a few weeks ago in the Hamptons and loved it.

Hi John and welcome to Bike Forums!! How did you do on the race? Did you know we have a Cyclocross section here? Lots of info there, you might want to check it out! We also have a commuter area where people discuss the every day issues that commuters have to deal with.

I'm coming back from a Dive trip in Bonaire. Couldn't dive the last day so yesterday I rented a MTB and went out in the sun and wind in the heat of the day. Had to have the bike back in 3.5 hours so pushed it hard. Always take the helmet, gloves, and bike shorts on a trip. A cactus desert. Fantastic. Almost hit a goat and a lizard. Jumped in front of me.
I'm going to do another Cyclocross next year. Get knobby tires instead of the skins. Won't get lapped next time. One of the guys said he felt like his lungs "got turned inside out". Yeah. I can't improve on that.
