3 Have at heart attack going up Powder MT at least once this coming year.

4. End the year with fewer bikes than I begin it.
5. Don't die while riding.

I have very similar plan (really dream) since I dont want "HA" s/Powder MT/MT Palomar/ Alpe d'Huez of CA (thus avoiding 3 & 5)

1) Stop buying parts off the CV sales Forum or eBay when drinking.
2) I know this is the bike forum but, get in shape to make the all time 10 top for my age group in the 200 through 1650 Freestyle.

I'm not sure which of these two will be the bigger challenge.

1. Ride more
2. Reduce inventory (cranks, saddle, pedals, handlebars, and more)
3. Paint the daughter's bike, Paint the tandem, Paint the 610, Paint the 760
4. Reconsider 3.
5.Do something with this, more than remove the stuck seat post.
PXL_20221115_180109829 on Flickr
6. Repair at least 3 sew-ups.
7. Continue cleaning up the Pinarello of the oxidizing layer of translucent topcoat.
8. Build a set of wheels for the 760 with Suntour Suberbe Pro hubs with GL330s.
9. ignore 2-8 so I can do 1.

1. Ride more (that bar is very low)
2. Clear out non-keepers (Seven bikes, Two frames)
3. Finish the "Tack Room"
4. Finish painting wife's Technium Team and Voyageur SP and build them both up.
5. Complete building up the "guest bike".
6. Plan out the future CX course in the yard/woods.
7. Ensure I don't accidentally go swimming.
8. Have someone from C&V over to visit.

1: Work at being a better, more sympathetic ride partner
2: Discover some new interesting roads/regions to ride (I'm open to suggestions)
3: Do more cyclotouring.....especially with friends
4: Get my fixed gear road worthy again, I miss riding it

Sometimes, after I have begun a ride, I realize that an essential item is "with another bike"
Purchase for, and carry on, all five of my road bikes, all of these items:

chain tool
quik-link
spoke wrench
first aid kit
patch kit
spare tube
(3) spoons
air pump
Duct tape
razor blade (for duct tape)
reversible screw driver
small vice-grips
deer-fly patches

This is a great one! I've been riding since I was a kid, but for most of my life, besides goofing off w/ bmx as a youngin', and in college, riding bikes has been a solo affair.

It would be fun to get out and do such things with other like-minded people. The Eddy Rando ride this year was a good start to that, and my hope is to continue that trend. It would be fun to meet other BF members and to go riding.

This is quite a lot to do, but then I re-read your post and realize this is only for 5 bikes, not 25. Quite approachable!

1. Ride more, run more, backpack more, hike more.
2. Sell a bunch of excess parts in anticipation of a coming move.
3. Make a decision on which direction of 650b I want to go, and then sell the other frames that have accumulated while chasing that idea.
4. Ride more with other people; C&V fans if possible and/or appropriate.
5. Start to get back into photography.

@1989Pre - If you have two cages, consider packing a storage bottle like the grey on in hthe followin pic. It has all the common set of tools for most bikes. Just move it from one to the next

Thanks. Ordinarily, that would be a good idea, but in summer, I drink both of my 27oz bottles by mile fifty (the Technium has two cages), and am ready to stop in at Dollar General to get another bottle of spring water for the final ten miles. I actually have all the saddle-bags/fanny packs that I need. I just have to buy all the things to stuff them with. I actually have dedicated pumps for all five bikes, but those little items like master links can getcha.

Be open-minded when it comes to recovery modalities. Are you running 28H front and rear? On which bike? That's what I do on my Moser, but Interloc was still making rims at the time.

Sounds like me, I carry a spare tire too, couple different setups, both are too much but it is what it is.

This was the standard setup with the Merz, there's enough in either bag to get home, the seat bag has extra gear and storage, rain gear, a compact knapsack, etc.

No pic ATMO but the Strawberry sports the seat pack with a PDW bindle rack to keep it off the frame and not hurt the paint. It has a Silca seat roll on the bottom of it for easy access and the Sporin strapped on top for the MP3 player easy access.

Yes. 28 hole on the 1984 Bianchi Tipo Corsa. Campagnolo hubs, DT spokes 3x rear and Alpina aero spokes front, radial laced.

The initial link didn't work, but thanks for reminding me to see if Tallac dual cages were still available (I have a set on my aluminum cruiser, as it's the only way to get two bottles inside the frame). I had two sets, but one fatigued and failed at the inside bend of the lower cage. I tried wire & JB Weld to fix, but that cracked too.

It looks like Amazon does have them, using a search on "Tallac bottle cage".

Get rid of a few bicycles… it’s not a resolution (I’m not into such things), it’s more of a wish of my wife.
The problem I see is the decision about which ones…

1. Avoid user-error crashes. Sometimes s**t happens but a lot of s**t can be avoided. Gonna try my best to avoid that which can be avoided. I’m learning to be more cautious and attentive after a couple bad spills in recent years. Case in point: Yesterday, fast, bumpy, and twisty descent, I had the foresight to stop in order to take photos and put on a jacket.

2. Commute by bike at least 80% of work days.

3. Try to get my LOOK KG86 back on the road (epoxy failure at BB/seat tube juncture).

4. Climb the trifecta of SF Bay Area tall peaks: Mt. Tamalpais (North Bay), Mt. Diablo (East Bay), Mt. Hamilton (South Bay). I’ve done the first two from my home in Berkeley—around 75-80 miles & ~7,000’+ climbing—but have yet to try the ascent up Mt. Hamilton.
