Marin bikes

I am looking into getting another mountain bike, and looking around I found a Marin 27.5 FS for $3000, and another site for a 29'r for the same price. I am not as well versed in MTB stuff and do not know as much about them. Are these decent bikes compared to the main brands or are they something to avoid. TIA

They make good bikes ---- one in the 3k price range should be very nicely appointed

we've had some discussions on the forums about 27.5 going the way of the Dodo soon, so id look seriously at the 29'er but thats just me

I have been following that and the 29'r is about $700 more with similar equipment, so I may just wait a while longer to pull the trigger.

Thanks for the info.
