Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

All your bikes seem to have the saddle WAY up in the air. Long legs, short torso, IIRC.

Nope.

Have you done much CRA watching over the years? I have no idea if it's futile to protest stuff years later, if they have fair hearings, are transparent, are willing to own up to their errors/omissions, or what to expect.

Counselor, you know that these things have nothing to do with the government's "fairness", being "transparent", or owning up to errors/omissions. If your uncle did not pursue or protect his rights, then that's on him as unfortunate as that may be.

Sounds like you need to hire a Canadian lawyer.

I imagine we will, but for now the guy recommended is on vacation, and I need a hard target to direct my annoyances toward.

The Rovals are too pricey for this cat 7 cyclist, can you suggest any aluminum black wheels?

Seems you don't get it. The bottom line is THEY ARE GOING TO GET THEIR MONEY, whether it's in cash or in the physical property itself. But it WILL be there's.

Watching the TdF, and always scratch my head as to why they give the guys a stuffed animal and a bouquet of flowers. That stuff should be reserved for figure skating and female gymnastics (since the competitors are all about age 13). They should give the guys a big ass belt buckle and a bottle of champaign to spray or something more manly. I say follow the Formula 1 podium style.

IMHO

We had a sweltering ride today. One guy had a flat x 3!! He first put in a new tube as he thought it was a pinch flat. New tube lasted about 15 miles, then flat again. Second time he figured it was a shard near the valve and patched the tube. Also lasted 15 miles, then flat again. I sent most of the gang on ahead and gave him a fresh tube, sounds like maybe a tiny burr or sharp near the valve. We ended up coming back about 30 minutes late and soaked with sweat, but still a fine ride. So glad I had my Halo (tm) headband.

Got the stem and seatpost in. They’re super nice parts for sure, but the color is much lighter than I anticipated, possibly from the different alloys.

Just double checking, but this would look worse than keeping the cockpit black don’t you think?

The lion is the mascot of Crédit Lyonnais the financial manager & main sponsor of the Tour de France. They have been awarding them since 1987 & started the craze of cuddly toys to race leaders.

Can't help you with the flowers.

We do not. No idea about how things are in the States, but up here recruiting for what are rather optimistically called our ‘armed forces’ is in a sad state.

In my experience, our CRA is not unlike your IRS as I understand it. They will get what they claim, unless one has the means to push back. If one does push back, ‘deals’ can be made.
