Gary Fisher NAPA
I have an old Gary Fisher NAPA. I never really knew what type of bike it is. Is it a beach cruiser? I know it’s some type of cruiser.

It is not a beach cruiser it is a just a mountain hybrid with heavy suspension parts. It will do fine on light trails.

I may need to do something about the seat post. This one has a spring in it and it doesn’t always return to full height. I think a fixed seat post would be better.

If you want something to absorb and dampen vibrations I would go for a Kinekt Seatpost. Unfortunately the style of seat post that was chosen on that bike is absolutely terrible we call them captains chairs because eventually they break free and end up being able to swivel around I have yet to find one without in my mind unacceptable play but even still if they worked perfectly it wouldn't be ideal as it only goes up and down which will put extra strain on your knees. The Kinekt goes down on two springs (which can be swapped) but thanks to the design it also move back so it keeps your knees in a slightly better position. Not perfect but certainly less strain and way more comfort. However a normal non-suspension or vibration damping post is also fine but Kinekt is my favorite for a reason. I think it really does make a huge difference and being a simple seat post it can move to a new bike when you get the dream bike.
