Stem for improving position

Hi,
As all may know, seating position (hope it the right term) is not the ultimate as it too straight.
Is anyone change the stem to do that?
If do - to which one(size? adjustable?)
Thanks!

*** If you made the change - plz try adding the model or link

Shabydog - Not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if anyone has changed/adjusted to stem in an attempt to get a better fit?

Yes I do.. & have done, But I cannot answer this with a shopping list, on a text forum,

Drop by a Proper Bike Shop and see what they say , Since they can see you on your bike..

Folding bikes? I own a Brompton, and recently the 2nd of 2 Bike Fridays..

BiFri uses many conventional components, when ordering the bikes from them they build with a large range of options,

So if you give them enough information they do the parts picking for you, from their Inventory.

That's a loaded questions and I think you are going to get different answers from just about everyone. It it helps, my current ride has a FSA stem at 110

What is it that you need to change about your riding position? Do you need to reduce your reach, lower or raise the handlebar height, or something else?

^^^ This..It goes on top of the bar mast , then you put the bars in it.

You won't find Tern Parts at Chainreaction / Jenson , you may at Thor's store

there is only 1 frame size on most* folding bikes, IDK if alternate Steering Masts exist that bend towards the saddle,

so the above suggestion and perhaps bars that curve the grips back are probably all you can do.

*bike friday the only exception , though they are now not really making a folding bike,

more a take it apart easily bike. some folding and some removable by design parts to be small...

Ebay link to Aber hallo .... look at the pics .. there is one with the aber hallo backwards
this will move the handlebar closer to you and you will sit more upright and not bend down
:-)
that's all you need really

I can also use this one?

By Litepro
Clamp Diameter 25.1 - 26.5mm || Fork Clamp Diameter 28.6mm || Height 15 - 25mm

By the diameter of the clamp & fork it would work with the Tern?

Pro's of Litepro:
+ Half the weight (95g Vs 199g of Aber Hallo)
+ Much Cheaper
+ ***it would give me approx 32mm reach

Pro's of Aber Hallo:
+ Probably better build quality & sturdiness.
+ 50mm extension.

### I found it also in bikeforums ###

Thanks!!!

You've started many threads about upgrading a Tern Link C7, which I assumed you already owned. If you're buying new, I think you'll find that with the amount of upgrades you're considering, that it will be much easier, and likely cheaper to just purchase a different bike that already has most of what you're looking for.

By now you can see the Tern /Dahon design uses a handlebar mast assembly , not a stem, per se.

Good luck with your International bargain shopping.

I have not figured out if you want
sitting upright ( not bend )
having short arms hence need the handlebar closer
But than laying a bit down . comes along ...

Aber hallo has open front 2 bolt hinge. you do not need to take everything off the handlebar
it also has a clamping area which is narrower than the litespeed
there are differences ...

It looks like you want to have it real cheap also ....
One thing with getting it as cheap as possible is that usually the people who sell it have no clue

Did you find your bargain place ? Are you asking them questions ? Do they have answers ?

No trouble, but I need to actually sell some stuff , hence I will leave this thread
happy hunting

Hi All,
@ThorUSA
Understand what you saying...but it too expensive bc's of shipping (and also a bit expensive).

I'm having difficulties understand what your are offering to do.
If you can - it would be gr8 that you will add a links.
I It seem to be very difficult adding such a basic link to the product...

What about the product on the attached image?
40$+- shipping included.
Is there any special stem that I need?
If do, can you plz help me with it?

Tnx!
