Haha about her friends. She's going to grad school next year, so maybe I can hit those up. Stay at home dad who trains all day sounds alright

ETA About my sig, my best buddy at school is a civil. Great opportunity to practice getting a rise out of them.

2nd "big" race tomorrow. I'm mostly worried about catching back on after having to stop and puke 2 or 3 laps in. RR.

It's not long ... I'm a chick. But yeah, some climbing and mostly just me being all freaked out ... I'll settle down once the race starts. I got dropped on my first real race (though finished better than DFL) and my goal is to try to stay with the pack as long as I can on this one. That's going to involve more suffering than I've experienced before. Is it sick that other than the butterflies I'm looking forward to that?

Got run into a ditch today on a 35+mph descent by some stupid pos m effer who was afraid to lean his bike over more than a few degrees. He swung all the way across the road into me (long downhill right-hander). Managed by the grace of God not to crash. I really dont know how i didnt. Got back on the road and tried to chase, failed. Still finished strong about mid field of 80.

Then one of aero bars came apart on my borrowed tt bike 2 miles into a 4.5 mi tt.

I hope tomorrow is better.

Best thing about today was meeting mollusk and kensuf. Good folks.

Ugh! a mommy duck and 8 chicks got in the mill today. Mommy got scared and ran under the paper machine...feathers and parts everywhere...shut everything down and an hour clean up...ick...several babies are still wandering the mill but most were caught and will be raised by one of the guys.

Maybe you'll stay on until the end! My friend got dropped in her first race and she organized the other dropees and they worked their way back toward the lead group.

So, who were the "good folks" that you met?

See you tomorrow AM. Maybe tomorrow I will remember to take the thermos full of freshly brewed espresso instead of leaving it on the counter like I did this morning.

Also there are a bunch of Velobrew BFer's there parked just a couple of places away from where you parked.

I caught back on and held until the last turn onto whiteface. second wheel going in, last in the remaining pack at the line. total bonk. nearly passed out.

got the blinds installed, got the new deadbolt installed (I now have two deadbolts). The hole saw I had sucked, and the pilot bit broke towards the end. Stupid metal doors, they were owning my bi-metal hole saws.
