Old fold up bike-Help needed PLEASE
Hi,
I'm very new to this but have found a beautiful yet very uncared for bike in my derelict shed. We are in the process of taking it apart and came across the bike and I have fallen in love with it and want to restore it. However I have no experience and don't want to be ripped off so am asking the following from you lovely people out there
1. Any ideas what this bike is who it might be made from?
2. any idea where I can get parts for it and definitely the replacement sticker which I LOVE!!!!!
Any ideas, suggestions would be gratefully received as I'm a real newbie!!

Italian U frame, many companies labeled these. made in Italy
good utility bike...you can polish it up and use it but dont invest in restoring it.
thay are very useful, you can even get folding pedals to make it fit in the trunk easier.

It is Super Deluxe , isn't that enough ? the Hub is a sturmey-archer 3 speed ,
being made since the 30's , AW3 parts are a simple thing to find,
but maybe just some 90wt Oil in it will be enough.

It's worth saving, if you can do the work yourself. Oxalic acid dip will do wonders for the rust. Useful little runabout, or something to keep in the trunk of your car. Seriously doubt you'll make a profit fixing and flipping the bike, so you better want it for yourself. As to the brand and manufacturer, who knows? For a period of time those were sold all over the place, especially in not-bike-shops. And every different retailer probably had a different name brand to put on the frame.
Do another posting in the Folding Bikes section. Once you get past the Brompton acolytes, and all the talk about Dahons there are some folder enthusiasts who know the vintage stuff, but since their interest is limited to folding bikes, they don't usually show up here.

Early 80's U-folder. In tip top shape it might be worth $150 to someone. The only way you will find new decals would be to have them custom made $$. I have a couple of similar folders waiting for me to get to them.
To get a better date on the bike check the rear hub for a date it should read something like 7 83 meaning the hub was produced in July 1983.

They are fun little bikes to fiddle with, not much market if you want to sell them though.
They were being made in multiple countries; one of mine was made in Italy the other somewhere like Romania.
