This is why I would be really leery of those cars where the engine shuts off when you are sitting at a light, then starts up again when you're ready to go. When I grew up, if a car's engine stopped at a light, we called it 'stalling' and it was A BAD THING!!!!

I had a similar experience, and even attempted a pass, which is not my norm. I think the drugs given may have had something to do with it. Well, that's my story anyways...

Weird Saturn problem. I started it like normal, thought it caught but it did not. Tried starting again, cranked but no catch. Let it rest a couple minutes, same problem. Tried again a few minutes later, and it started.
I drove it to the mechanic and will ask him to look at it tomorrow, and it may have simply been some water in the fuel line, but any of the car guys have ideas??
It has never had this problem before.

I paid NFL.com a dollar to watch the Superbowl. Today they offered me the whole season free. As a member of the international community. I haven't watched regular season football in many years, but this year could be different. They say the AFC is loaded with top notch qbs.

So my mechanic looked at the Saturn and said it was a bad battery. He said they put it on the tester and it failed.
I won't argue, but when it was not starting yesterday it was cranking like normal for 15-20 seconds at a time, it just would not catch. That does not sound like a bad battery to me.
Oh well, the battery was pretty old anyway so I will keep my fingers crossed the problem does not recur.
