keeping disc and spoked wheels true
While this may seem like a stupid question, I got to wondering last night how one keeps a disc and spoked wheels true? is it a non issue? or are there "spokes" you can tighten and loosen to achieve this in disc/spoked wheels?
Being fat and slow I'm the type of person that see's these wheels at the track but have never actually touched one....
oh, and I might have been looking at these today
they are just so pretty...

You keep them true by not running them into hard surfaces. Once they're out of true there isn't much you can do, but they don't really go out of true either. Especially on the track.

There are a couple of fast guys at our track that use those wheels... they're fine.
In fact, one of them went down HARD last Friday night - I checked his bike over and the wheels are fine.

That being said, I have 0 money for them, but I though about "how the heck would you true something like that." clearly the answer is in a trash can, lol.

The thing that I've noticed with "china special" wheels is that when they work, they work. But quality control can be so-so. And if you get one that should not have passed inspection, returning it may be a PITA.

I remember reading about Zipp, boyd and other carbon wheel makers having amazing customer service... I cant imagine trying to get a replacement from china, or how long that would take....

I've been through the process, though it was for a frame. The entire process took about 4 weeks. Most of that was travel time, as it was about 9 days to and from. It was with an ebay seller a_bay goods, who is just a front for deng fu.
