Rear rack for Montague DX - not seat post mounted?

Anyone know of one where the rack is not clamped to the seatpost on Montague's?

Do you absolutely NOT want one on the seat post at all?
I have a Pletscher system - https://www.bikemania.biz/Pletscher_A...cher_50290.htm - which DOES go to the seat post BUT it is primarily supported by the quick release system down to the wheels.

I had to get special brackets from the Pletscher folks USA distributor in IL to go around my disc brakes on the montague..

Yes, I don't want one that I have to mount on the seat post. I plan to put a toddler's seat there and most racks of this kind can only carry up to 20 lbs. I like that Pletscher system. How did you attach the forward bracket to the low rack/fender hole of the Montague? Would it be sturdy enough for a rear child seat?

some of the Kid seats incorporate their own support frame.
this one Includes the Blackburn CSR-1 Rack..

but if you buy them thru the LBS they will help you install it .

Perhaps the mounting fabrication is needing some ingenuity..

Yes, I think going to the LBS is the ticket. Thanks!
