1983? Austro Daimler
I need to sell my Austro Daimler and so I'm hoping to get some opinions here. No dents or dings and everything is straight but there is the usual cosmetic wear. Am I better off disassembling the bicycle and selling the parts individually? Basically Campagnolo everything except for the handlebars, stem and headset. Top bar cable clamps are Campagnolo as well as the seat post bolt and pedals.

Cycle certainly looks great!
A trivial query if I may...
how did things end up with a clamp-on chain stay stop next to a braze-on one?
were you perhaps unable to locate the correct ferrule to use with the Campag Nr. 621?

Correct...and at the time I was probably too lazy to look for one.

Nice paint!
$500-700 on eBay. You can ask for a higher price and be prepared to let it sit awhile.
Perhaps more if you part it out, but factor in your time. Frameset $120-150 on eBay w/o headset.
Austro-Daimler is a less-publicized brand, which affects the resale value.
For comparison here is a Super Record equipped EuroSpeciale that has been sitting for months at $1200:

I suspect it would sell in the ~$600 range

Thanks. I would like to keep it but I've already had it for awhile and I don't ride it very often. Also, we are probably going to downsize our home sometime in the next 1-2 years and so I need to start getting rid of some of my unnecessary belongings. I have other 3 other vintage bicycles besides this one and I've decided to reduce down to 1.

have been thinking something in the seven and one half to nine and one half range
but then the market is down from what it was at the height of the pandemic...
also, if you are in a rural area that makes it tougher to find a local buyer
OTOH The Palouse and Spokie both have colleges...
good wishes with it
---
ps -
is that an alloy 6V block we see on there?
if so, remember to include that information when you compose your listing
the ferrule used in conjunction with the Campag Nr. 621 is part Nr. 612

Nice AD! Only thing I see that might pull the value down a bit is the large size. What's that, a 62cm, at least?
54 - 58 cm is the "sweet" range for sizing for most riders

Sweet bike, and just my size. I should really not buy any more bikes, so I'm glad you're not in Arizona. In subjective terms I would say this is a $1200 bike, but in today's market and in a smaller town I think the $500 to $700 dollar range others have suggested is probably right. Almost all bike flippers will say you can make more money by selling the parts individually, but it involves a lot of time and shipping-related frustration if you don't know all the tricks, and you might still end up stuck with the frame.
I volunteer at a bike co-op, and big frames sell really well during the weeks when 7 tall guys in a row walk into the shop. Other times not so much.
Anyway, good luck with the sale.

If the top tube is in the 57cm-59cm range, I might make you an offer.

Nice AD, I did a refurb on one for/with a good friend, his was made with 531 tubing, a quality bicycle. A complete pristine example like yours despite being on the larger side should fetch over $1200 all day in my humble opinion.
