Markings on a Campy Record BB spindle.
This is probably obvious but, can someone please tell me what certain markings on a Campy bottom bracket spindle mean? It is a 68- SS - 120 spindle.
But just below that it is stamped " +1 - +1.5 "
I presume this means it is plus 1 mm long on the non drive side and plus 1.5 mm long on the drive side, but not sure.
And I've found it dangerous for me to make assumptions. Thanks.

This is an early post-CSPC English spindle. Should be 115mm in length, Nuovo Record (or Super Record) double 1977 or later crankset. The later ones were marked 68-SS. The +1 - +1.5 means it is longer by that much as you thought than the earlier pre-CSPC version.

Thank you Charles! "confusing" indeed. I surmise from that the extra length was added because the crank arms were thicker at the spindle hole area. Well, like I say, won't work as a spare for my pre-78 cranks. Thank you.
