Actually .... in order to prove this you would need to show loss of revenue to Pinarello because of this branding. Obviously it is trademark infringement, but is it costing Pinarello sales? Are people buying Chinarellos for ridiculously low (compared to Pinarello) prices and thinking they are real? I cannot imagine anyone who is really looking at real Pinarellos (not brands carried widely or advertised widely) is likely to have heard about Chinarello, and will not be fooled by an Aliexpress frame at one-fifth the price of the real thing.
Now, will the owner of the patents, trademarks, etc. do something about it, that's another thing.

Personally, I would proudly put a Chinarello sticker on a Chinarello .... for comedy as well as for honesty. But hey, I own a pair of Chinabombs already so I am doomed to die in aspolosion any day now.

Even if we DO learn from history, we're condemned to watch others who DIDN'T learn from history repeat it.

Here's a recent video regarding Chinese bike frames and components.

Seriously, how many people are going to read this revived thread and be like 'yeah, I'll watch an 85 minute video without knowing almost anything about it'.
This would be like linking an entire book, saying 'it's related to the topic', and expecting people to just read it.

I've had my cheap Chinese carbon framesets builds since 2017.
The first one I received was the incorrect size, long story short,
I got the frameset (include frame, fork, headset & seatpost) for free from AliEx (not seller) refund.
I built it up with misc. components, wheels I have available in my basement.
I rode it for about 500 miles and determined that it was simply not fitting me properly; so I sold it to my neighbor who rides with me frequently.
Neighbor has been happy with it since, put some fancy decals on the bike and the other fold that he rides with can't tell the difference from the real thing.
Few month later, I bought a cheap Chinese aero road frameset while it was on sale.
Frame, fork, headset, stem, seatpost, handlebar for under $700, built with SRAM Rival, cheap Chinese carbon wheels, whole bike was less than $1200.
Ride quality is similar to my Kestrel 500 Sci, but just a few pound lighter.
To my surprise, the first, incorrect sized frame seller sent me a replacement frameset in the correct size.
I built it up with Ultegra 10 speed and cheap Chinese carbon wheels.
Cable routing in these handlesbars are always PITA.
I also bought a cheap Chinese carbon TT frameset while on sale.
It comes with TT handlebar, seatpost, designated brakeset (which are awful).
I also bought a pair of fancy Chinese carbon wheels along with the frameset.
Completed built about 22.5 lb.
I still ride the these cheap, Chinese carbon bikes that I bought in 2017.
I ride them every once in a while, maybe once or twice a month.
Sure their performance may not be on par with name brand racing machines, but for casual club riding, they do the job just fine.
Sprinting from electric post to another you feel the frame on max power output, but I don't do that very often.
Cheap Chinese frames are not for everyone.
For me, a 35+ year cyclist that stop racing nearly 15 years ago, ride 3-4 times a week for fitness & casual club rides;
they serve me well, they are lightweight and at 1/4 of the price of name brand carbon bikes that are designed for racing.
If you're not racing, capable to put a bike together from frame, have proper tools and want to save some money; these cheap Chines frames could work out for you.

that's a 75 minute video. How about in addition to linking the video, you discuss why you find it valuable to the conversation?
Seriously, how many people are going to read this revived thread and be like 'yeah, I'll watch an 85 minute video without knowing almost anything about it'.
This would be like linking an entire book, saying 'it's related to the topic', and expecting people to just read it.

The IP finger-waggers have a point. Counterfeiting isn't fair. Neither is life, alas.

You can make all the counterfeit goods you like *for yourself*, but the moment you attempt to profit off of that by selling or otherwise leveraging the “borrowed” branding, you’re liable.
