Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I never noticed this thread before and I just found out that I love to look at other people's bikes. There are some really great looking rides out there that I wish I could afford. Here is mine. I like blue and yellow.

2000 Mongoose Pro Bosberg
Made in the USA
Titanium
Cane Creek Aerohead wheelset (nipples on the hubs instead of the rims)
Ultegra everything except Dura-Ace derailuer
Speedplay pedals
Cane Creek headset
just under 18 lbs

I not sure if Mongoose makes road bikes anymore but don't confuse this bike with the Mongoose bikes they sell at Walmart or Kmart. There is a "pro" in the title. The 2001 model of this bike was aluminum with a sloped toptube so this was the last year this was made. Unfortunately, the wheelset in the pic has been replaced with a set of Mavic wheels with the normal silver rims. The Aeroheads were for racing only and as it was my first serious road bike, I didn't get a second set just for training. I used the Aeroheads for over a year on every ride and that shortened their lifespan. After multiple broken spokes my LBS is certain they'll fail on me so I now only have my training set of Mavics. I'm looking for a new set with blue rims.

Hey thecoloredguy,

How do you like the ride? Next Wednesday, I go to the LBS to get fitted for a new c50. I'm going with the PR00 paint scheme, and mostly Chorus, except for a FSA compact crank. I will also use an existing Eurus wheelset. Can't wait.

Just in case you're wondering, Mongoose titanium roadbikes were made by TST (formerly known as Sandvik). TST also produced frames for Lemond. This was many years ago. I think Lemond uses a different manufacturer now. And I'm sure Mongoose does. TST is actually local to me.

Is the image on your hard drive? You must host it on the internet somewhere or attach it in a size small enough to fit in under the 100kb size limit.

the front tire is sinking into the carpet.

It's not fully pumped, haven't ridden for a week so I'm sure some air is out.

Here you go. You need some sort of photo software and then resize or crop.
