Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My friend said the police cannot go get the bike without a search warrant, and that is apparently the reason for the delay.

Well first you need to tell the coppers that you pay their salary, and they should jump when you say jump.

My friend the chief of our police department told me that his favorite is when a person being arrested for DUI tells the arresting officer that they should call the chief because they are friends and the chief will let them go. Chief told me that is response is always, “Book ‘em.”

We get the Potomac dads out in their Porsches, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis on nice weekend mornings too. They drive too fast, but tend to give a wide pass, which is all I care about. Haven’t seen a cybertruck yet.

Amazing, because the book on Shanahan is he has to run from the lead.

Cinderella story either way. I was just not looking forward to the hot takes about Purdy, who's clearly responsible for the defense being unable to stop a nosebleed.

No doubt. DUI arrestees are generally their own brand of stupid.

Last guy that called me and told me that was during the lunch hour. I stated that as my supervisor, you would understand that a lunch hour is important to employee job satisfaction, and then hung up on him. When he called right back, he asked if I hung up on him. I didn't answer that but asked him if he would like to continue to role play, or would he rather discuss his issue in an adult manner... Together, we solved his problem.

....here, the low rider car clubs had some sort of event in Old Sac in front of the railroad museum. I rode through there, and looked at some tuck and roll interiors, inside a couple of Chevy and Buick classics from the 50's and 60's. Nothing too wild in terms of paint schemes, but very very low. If they had a hydraulics bounce competition, I must have missed it.

The weather was so nice here, that the honeybees were out in force, collecting pollen off an early and heavily blooming camellia in my yard.
