Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We got one of those when Mrs. rjones28 had her surgery, since it was the warmest part of the year. Works well.

it’s easier to find those cool fake boat engine propellers to plug into a 2” receiver (when the receiver hitch is not in use)

I typically pair the propeller with the Yosemite Sam ‘Back off Jack’ mud flaps

Looks like a CAAD 3 or CAAD 4 with a bent seat stay.

This is my friend's bike that got run over a couple months ago. Amazingly, most of the parts are ok. I got hit back in the early '80s and experienced the same thing - destroyed wheels and frame but most of the group was OK.

CAADs are excellent bikes. I've owned a couple in my time, a silver CAAD9 and then a matte black CAAD8, when they were called R1000. Same colorway as this "Retro build" photo I just found. What an awesome bike that was! Light, stiff and just handled so well. I miss that thing. Maybe if/when my crappy Venge Elite 2016 bites the dust, I'll build one up as my racing bike instead of a modern carbon spaceship.

I have been a big Cannondale fan for a very long time. The one item of theirs I have never had is a bike. I currently have a Cannondale la Jersey.

It went on without too much drama, but doesn't quite fit right so once everything is all torqued down it's crooked

Need to get some washers to use as spacers and have a bunch of fun with a rat tail file to get things all lined up, but hey, I can't see it when I'm driving so it's not a huge priority
This reminds me. We had my 88 Nissan King Cab 4WD for six years in the coastal southern Belizean rainforest. The hitch welded itself to the receiver. We had the truck chained to a tree and the hitch chained to a tractor and a brave soul in the middle with a sledgehammer. Nothing.

More whining. Do you post when you go in there? Post one of your full page results charts in there and see who responds. Let people get to know you there because Addiction is neither a racing or training thread or forum.

I use one of those to avoid using a tacky regular unit in a front window of the house. Indeed they do work well.

There’s cycling stuff, ride reports, bike reports and other stuff, all that’s appropriate. But there’s an entire 33 domain for racing and training stuff.

Might have to go that route. Maybe rig up a shelf for it so I can preserve my precious floor space, this is the second smallest apartment I've seen in my life after all.

Man, did you put your cranky pants on today. I have posted there in the past, and no one responded. Easier to get a response here, even though this is addiction. Which IMO covers everything. From cars to bikes, and your shovel.
