Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mrs bampilot didn’t seem to have this much trouble wrapping my bars. She used the park tools method and it worked out fine.

You should probably get Deda Mistral (or similar) if you want to change directions, as the perforations are evenly distributed across most of the width of the tape.

This is the saddest thing I've ever read. Can you imagine not having seen that film several times?

Velo Vol 's bar wrapping procedure requires additional preparation.

Because he BELIEVES it, but believing things doesn't make them true. You can easily find another video where an equally experienced person expresses the opposite belief with as much conviction as Park Tool Guy. Why? Because both ways work fine.

So do Figure 8 and stop worrying about wrapping back to front, because that works, too.

It's one of those movies that, when you stumble across it channelsurfing, you stop and watch till it's over, no matter where in the film you come in.

Our road club, which is where I do the semi competitive rides, has banned e-bikes from all our rides. Lately there has been talk of allowing them again.
The other club I ride with sometimes has never had an e-bike show up afaik.

The ride I was referring to was not a club ride, just a small social ride where the lone fast guy would just take it easy and ride with us mortals. Add two good riders with e-bikes and it's a very different ride. I think they are about 250 watts.

I don't think many people realize that the film was nominated for 5 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. It only won for Best Original Screen Play. Barbara Barrie lost Best Supporting Actress to Meryl Streep for her role in Kramer vs. Kramer. The film did, however, win a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture--Musical or Comedy.

Why is the drive side chainstay so low? With a 1x it wouldn't seem to be susceptible to chain slap.

Running it down low allows for better chainring and tyre clearance while having a short effective chainstay. I'm surprised more makers don't just go with an elevated stay.
